Charlie Chaplin (Charles Chaplin), 1889 April 16, was born in London, the British film and television actor, director, screenwriter.
Charlie Chaplin’s first film was “to make a living.” From the beginning of 1915 Chaplin directed and starred in, and even served as producer and clips. Later he joined the company Ace, Anne, and produced the “settlers” and “Lok Street” in 1917, in 1918 he and his brothers in Los Angeles to open his own company. And convened in 1919 to Douglas Fairbanks, and others. It was not until 1923, Chaplin was for the company to shoot her first film “Paris woman.” After 1925 the “Gold Rush” and 1927’s “Big Circus” won the Academy Award as Chaplin.
1931 because “City Lights” premiere Chaplin came to London before returning to turn in his next movie was 1936’s “Modern Times.” Four years later, he shot “The Great Dictator.” In 1949, his sound film “Limelight,” released the same year he transferred to the Communists and was involved in the persecution of McCarthyism. Discontent in the United States for his injustice, he moved to Switzerland. In 1967 he shot a final film, “Countess from Hong Kong” in 1977 honors, died in Switzerland in 1977 Christmas at home, at the age of 88 years old.
