The Defenders ( Marvel’s The Defenders) is a network mini-TV series based on comic strips with the same name as superheroes, which is scheduled to be launched by Netflix Inc. of the United States. It was developed by Douglas Petrie and Marco Ramirez. The series is set in the Manwei film universe, and connected with the plot of the Manwei film universe series. It is the climax of the Manwei film universe series. The miniseries was co-produced by Marvel TV and ABC Studios, with Ramirez in charge of co-ordination.

The story takes place a few months after the second season of “Night Warrior” and a month after the story of “Iron Boxer”. The volunteer policemen living all over New York – Night Warrior, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Boxer began to unite to form a team of superheroes against the evil forces coming from the Hand Meeting.
